Tegan and Sara: Live at Downsview Park — Walking with a Ghost

Monday, July 8, 2013

Here's the video I took of Tegan and Sara at Downsview Park on July 6, performing "Walking with a Ghost," from their 2004 album, So Jealous. So Jealous brings up a lot of nostalgia for me, and it is still my most listened-to Tegan and Sara album to date. "Walking with a Ghost" is definitely one of my favourite songs off the album, and I still remember playing this song constantly on repeat when it first came out (it was released when I started my first year of university, and I remember playing it everyday — on the subway and bus, while studying, while waiting for class to start — until I knew the lyrics to every song). At two minutes and 30 seconds and consisting of only eight lines repeated over and over again, "Walking with a Ghost" somehow manages to be one of the most addictive, catchy songs from the album, so much so that even The White Stripes covered it and released it on an EP, subsequently making this song Tegan and Sara's biggest hit from the record.
