My Merch Box #6 from the BTS ARMY Global Fanclub Membership has arrived! As mentioned previously, the BTS Global Official Fanclub added a Merch Pack Membership option last year, which includes four different merch boxes during the membership period on top of the regular Membership perks. The price of this membership is $150 USD rather than the regular $22. Shipping costs aren't included, so the $150 price tag ends up being closer to $250 (or more, depending on where you live), but each merch box includes about $50 - 100 worth of merch, and they're all exclusive membership items that you cannot get otherwise. The theme of Merch Box #6 is "Mikrokosmos." Inside a medium black box, you will find a music box.
The music box measures W 22cm x L 15.5cm x H 13cm, made with matte black wooden fibreboard. The opening of the box features a metallic gold clasp in the shape of the BTS logo. Inside is lined with a medium purple felt, and features a rotating black and gold star/planet made out of thermoplastic polymer. There is a cutout on the inside of the lid that allows for a photo. The box comes with two different photos of BTS on their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tour in 2019 that can be interchanged in the cutout. On the back of the box is a metallic gold wind-up "key," which is in the shape of the ARMY logo. When the key is wound, the box plays BTS' "Mikrokosmos" when opened and the little planet inside will rotate. There is a space in the music box that allows for storage as well.
Basically, it is really freaking cute.
Merch Box #6 also includes an adjustable purple bracelet with the word "Mikrokosmos" as well as the BTS and ARMY logos stitched into it, and of course, the requisite member photocard set. These photocards feature their selfies from a livestream event they did for ARMY contest winners during last year's Festa. (I didn't enter the contest so I didn't watch it, but I'm hoping they include the stream in this year's Memories box set.) All in all, Merch Box #6 is very simple but timeless and whimsical. To my knowledge, this is the first music box they've ever officially released. It doubles up as a jewelry or trinket box, and it looks gorgeous on a vanity or desk. A beautiful BTS collector's piece!
