(Warning: This post is long and photo-heavy.)
Last December, Dispatch announced their BTS collaboration for the 10th volume of their D-ICON magazine. This is BTS' second feature on D-ICON, after their first issue in 2018. For this special edition 10th issue, D-ICON originally released eight versions in South Korea in late February — a BTS group version and 7 individual member versions. (I have previously posted the unboxings for the group version, Jimin version, and Jungkook version.) Many people couldn't buy the Korea editions of the magazine due to expensive international shipping as well as availability (most versions sold out within an hour), so in early September, Korea Dispatch announced that they would be releasing a global version of this magazine exclusively on Amazon.com. This post is the unboxing for the Global version of D-ICON Issue No. 10, which retails for $97.97 USD.

D-ICON Vol. 10: BTS Goes On! Box Set (Global Edition) — Vol. 10 Magazine — Back Cover
The Global Edition of the D-ICON Vol. 10 Box Set comes in a lavender outer box. Inside, you will find the Vol. 10 Global Edition magazine. It's worth noting, however, that while Dispatch calls this a "magazine," D-ICON Vol. 10 is a full-blown editorial photobook that is the size and thickness of an average textbook. Vol. 10 Global Edition has a whopping 332 pages, filled with group, subunit, and individual member photos, as well as interviews that are translated into English. In general, the Global Edition is similar to the original Korean group version, but some of the photos, layouts, and sections are different. (The photoshoots are the same, however.) The Global Edition also has more pages than the Korean version, which has 304 pages, and is bound in softcover rather than hardcover.

D-ICON Vol. 10: BTS Goes On! Box Set (Global Edition) — Photobook — "My Sweetie Pie" Photoshoot (BTS White Day Special 2019)
D-ICON Vol. 10: BTS Goes On! Box Set (Global Edition) — Photobook — Connect, BTS Photoshoot (New York Clearing Installation in 2020)
D-ICON Vol. 10: BTS Goes On! Box Set (Global Edition) — Photobook — BTS Week on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (Behind the Scenes at Gyeongbukgung Palace)
The Global Edition box set also comes with a separate photobook that includes the photoshoots from Dispatch's BTS White Day Special in 2019, the New York Clearing art installation for CONNECT, BTS from last February, and behind-the-scenes shots at Gyeongbukgung Palace for BTS Week on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last fall. There are also interviews from the members scattered throughout this book. These specific photoshoots are actually included in the Korean Edition's Vol. 10 magazine, rather than in a separate photobook.
D-ICON Vol. 10: BTS Goes On! Box Set (Global Edition) — T-Shirt
D-ICON Vol. 10: BTS Goes On! Box Set (Global Edition) — Photobook — Double-Sided Photocards
The Global Edition box set also includes a T-shirt featuring an image of BTS on the back, as well as a set of eight double-sided photocards (one for the group, and seven for each member). Now, if we're comparing the Global Edition box set to the original Korean Group Edition box set, there is definitely a lot more content in the Korean Edition, which included posters, calendars, keychains, and more photocards. And it was also retailing for about $10 USD cheaper. That having been said, if you live anywhere outside of Korea, the Korean Edition became way more expensive just because of the shipping fees. I'm talking nearly double the amount. So if you missed out on the original Korean Edition, then this is definitely your chance to snag D-ICON Vol. 10 at a way more reasonable shipping cost, no matter where you are in the world.

Despite some of the photos and layouts being different, the Global Edition magazine features the exact same photoshoots as the original Korean Edition, so you really aren't missing out if you have one but not the other. You'd really only be missing out on the extra items that came in the Korean Group Edition. That having been said, if you're a BTS multimedia collector like me and already have the Korean Group Edition box set, you'll totally justify having both.
