(Warning: This post is long and extremely photo-heavy.)
Last December, Dispatch announced their BTS collaboration for the 10th volume of their D-ICON magazine. This is BTS' second feature on D-ICON, after their first issue in 2018. For this special edition 10th issue, D-ICON released eight versions: a BTS group version and 7 individual member versions. The pre-order for these started in December, and was officially released in late February; my order from Gmarket (which was the only official retailer that was selling the English version) arrived here last week. As the issues are so heavy, the international shipping cost nearly doubled the retail price and thus I was only able to get one of the group edition books and two individual member books. This particular post is the unboxing for the Jimin version of D-ICON Issue No. 10, which retails for ₩33,930 or $32 USD.

It is somewhat misleading to call this a magazine as it is a full-blown editorial photobook, with the individual editions including 240 pages each and bound in matted softcovers. Each individual member edition features a full cover photo of the featured member on both the front and back of the book. The book includes several different photoshoots — the majority of the photos were taken exclusively for the 10th issue of D-ICON, and the individual member books include a lot of solo shots that are not included in the group edition. However, all editions of the book include the photoshoots from the New York Clearing art installation for CONNECT, BTS from last February, the BTS White Day Special in 2019, and behind-the-scenes shots at Gyeongbukgung Palace for BTS Week on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last fall. There are also interviews and articles of the featured member scattered throughout the book.

The individual member editions also include bonus goodies: member double-sided calendar cards with lenticular photo covers, a member double-sided Christmas edition accordion photo, a set of five member photocards and a member acrylic keyring. If you're an ARMY on a budget, I'd say that the must-have is the group edition book, but damn, if you have any extra spending money, the individual member books are well worth it. Even if you can't get all seven, just get your bias(es). You won't regret it. (Again, the books are currently sold out, but there should be a re-stock in early April!)

Also, Park Jimin is the prettiest man I have ever seen in my life.
