D-Day. All tickets for US dates for the BTS Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tour went on sale today. I was going for the New Jersey date at MetLife Stadium because it's the closest to Toronto. I even switched shifts with my co-worker to have today off because I knew it would be like the Hunger Games getting tickets. (You need a lot of time, money, and patience to get BTS tickets.) Tickets go on sale at 10:00 AM local time for all dates, so I logged on to Ticketmaster at around 9:45 AM, joined the Waiting Room queue at 9:50 AM, and waited patiently for the queue to start moving at 10:00 AM. And then as the page refreshed to start the queue, the motherfucker glitches and tells me that I'm no longer in queue and that I have to re-join, which means that I am back at the end of the fucking line. So I try re-joining, and then what happens? I get an error message. Every time I tried refreshing, I just got error message after error message. Timeout, bad connection, failed to reload. No matter how many times I refreshed on both my laptop and my phone, I got an error message.
So having had enough of this fucking bullshit, I went on
StubHub. I paid an arm and a leg (okay, like a designer handbag) to get tickets, but I managed to get two for Floor Section 3, which is that tiny section in turquoise (that I highlighted in orange) in the above screencap. It's my dream section; some of the best seats in the entire stadium. As of right now, tickets for that section on StubHub are going for an average of about $1,700 a ticket, so while I still paid an exorbitant amount, at least I got my tickets for about half that price.
All the tickets are sold out now. Imagine the kind of power that BTS has right now, to sell out four
stadiums (including
Wembley Stadium) in under two hours each. That's nearly 80,000 tickets per concert. This tour might actually be fastest selling stadium tour of all time. And I can't wait to be apart of it. I can't shop or, like, go out for the next two months, but IT WILL BE WORTH IT.
