Photolog 2019: Day 338 of 365

HAPPY JIN DAY! In honour of BTS Jin's birthday today, my friend Ying and I wanted to hit up a Jin global cafe birthday event in Toronto. We were supposed to go to the one at Bloom Cafe this past Sunday, but due to the snow and ice rain, we had to cancel. Feeling optimistic, we decided to call the cafe this afternoon to see if they were holding anything today, since it's Jin's actual birthday. Sadly, there wasn't an event planned there for today, but fortunately, they still had some cup sleeves left from the weekend event! We asked if they could save them for us if we went in today, and they said it was no problem, so Ying and I took the subway down for the sole purpose of getting cup sleeves. (What can I say, we're dedicated.) So we got to Bloom Cafe, ordered two London Fog lattes, and a couple of their signature cream puffs (one strawberry, one Oreo) to share, and got our precious cup sleeves as promised.


But we were still bummed that we couldn't go to an actual Jin birthday event, so we decided to see if there was one that that was actually being hosted today in Toronto, and found out that there was one at Icha Tea. We were downtown, anyway, so we decided to head over there as well. The event was in full swing, with Jin memorabilia decking out the walls, tables, and shelving units. (Even the Christmas tree.) A Little Braver was the fansite that was providing all the cup sleeves for nearly all the global Jin events, and there were two cup sleeves available, but Bloom Cafe only had the blue one left, so we ordered a peach oolong tea with lychee jelly (for me) and a mango jasmine tea with lychee jelly (for her) to get the pink cup sleeve. While sipping our bubble teas, we spent some time checking out all the Jin decor, taking photos and watching the videos that were playing on the TV screen, and just generally admiring our Worldwide Handsome in all forms. We went over to the fan hosts to thank them for the event, and they handed us each a little stack of cute photocards to take home as well. Overall, I think we celebrated Jin's birthday to the fullest today!
