A bunch of us were meeting for dinner this evening and we decided on ramen, but my friend Hannan can't eat pork, which is the typical meat that ramen restaurants pair with their noodles. So we decided on Ajisen over more authentic ramen places like Sansotei and Kinton because they offer a lot more meat options. I was in the mood for something with a kick, so I decided on the spicy miso pork ramen (despite Ajisen offering chicken and beef as well, I've always preferred pork in my ramen). Ajisen is a big chain, so their ramen noodles are mass produced and lack that springiness and chew that ramen is supposed to have, but it's reliably good and hits the spot when you're craving ramen.
