My dad wanted to treat my mom to Mother's Day dinner so we went to Lucky Seafood House for a classic Cantonese meal:
Stir-fried ginger scallion lobster
Poached white cut chicken with ginger scallion oil
Sweet and sour pork
Baby bok choy with century egg and salted egg
Not pictured was a seafood soup to start and the black glutinous rice with coconut milk and almond cookies for dessert, which are also included in the set dinners. This place doesn't have the greatest reviews, with service being the most common complaint. While I do think the manager is a bit aloof, I thought the other servers were perfectly pleasant and attentive. Most importantly, though, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. This wouldn't be my first choice in Cantonese seafood restaurant just for location alone (it's tucked away in the corner of a commercial office building in a semi-industrial area), but we had a perfectly good experience here and my mom was completely satisfied with Mother's Day.
