My mom and I couldn't decide on what we wanted for dinner, so we ended up going to Dickens, my mom's go-to Hong Kong-style restaurant known for their variety, quality, and value.
Veal tomahawk steak with bacon mashed potatoes
They're doing a special on veal tomahawk steaks right now, so we both decided on the original with peppercorn sauce — bacon mashed potatoes on the side for me, spaghetti for her. I'd never had veal tomahawk steak before, and while it's certainly not as thick, juicy, or tender as a regular beef tomahawk steak, it was still delicious — and cost about a quarter of the price. Most importantly, I finally broke my Asian food streak!
