As mentioned previously, the BTS Global Official Fanclub added a Merch Pack Membership option in 2020, which includes four different merch boxes during the membership period on top of the regular Membership perks. The price of this membership (now just called "ARMY Membership") is $150 USD rather than the regular $22. Shipping costs aren't included, so the $150 price tag ends up being closer to $300 (or more, depending on where you live, because DHL likes to commit highway robbery), but each merch box includes about $50 - 100 worth of merch, and they're all exclusive membership items that you cannot get otherwise. Merch Box #8 includes three main items: a hardcover edition of Weverse Magazine (an interview photobook), a premium photo, and a holder and light-up stand for the premium photo. All of these items come inside a black box with gold detailing.
(You may have noticed that I did not get Merch Box #7, which featured a clear PVC backpack. As I don't like clear bags nor use backpacks, I just didn't think it was worth paying the $60 USD shipping cost for something I would never use. I have a clear messenger bag that I bought to go to BTS' stadium concerts as per the clear bag policy, and even then, I've only used it three times. So, no, there is no post for Merch Box #7.)
The main feature of this Merch Box is a hardcover version of Weverse Magazine. It's an interview photobook featuring their exclusive photoshoot and interviews that were released in June 2022 for Weverse Magazine, which you can actually read online for free on Weverse. The topics discussed in this edition are Proof, what they want to accomplish next, and their futures individually and as BTS. As with the online edition, the photos and interviews in the book are divided by member.
The physical photobook includes a lot more photos from the shoot. It isn't available for purchase individually, but if you joined the Merch Pack Membership, you'll get it in this box. I mentioned previously that I wish they would make physical printed issues of all their interviews and photos for Weverse Magazine, so I'm really glad they've decided to continue doing this. This book is gorgeous, and the photos are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen from them.
The other main items in Merch Box #8 are the premium photo with the holder and stand. If you own any of BTS' premium photos (24cm W x 34 cm H), they will all fit in the holder so you can change them as you like. The premium photo that is included in Merch Box #8 is an exclusive group photo from this Weverse Magazine issue's photoshoot. The stand itself actually has a button on the back that you can press to light it up so it actually doubles up as a night light (it's not quite bright enough to be a lamp). And finally, there's two sheets of member photo stickers, for those who actually use them to decorate. (I would never. There's only one of each sticker and then you can never buy them again. Also I just don't have any business decorating anything with stickers.) Wish they'd included a photocard instead, but I suppose we can't have everything...
