Guava and Tahitian vanilla soft serve in a handmade waffle cone
I am having a delightfully fruitilicious day today! I went with Ying to get the soft serve flavour of the month at
Butter Baker this afternoon: Guava! As far as I know, this is the first time they've released this flavour and it is INSPIRED. It reminds me of those
Chinese guava candies, but mellower and creamier. Like Butter's previous
pineapple or
passion fruit flavours, the guava has a tartness to it that really balances out the sweet. This particular flavour also has a sparkling, fizzy quality to it, almost like carbonation or Pop Rocks? I might be imagining it, but this guava soft serve was particularly light and refreshing in today's 30℃ weather. It has also made me realize that there really aren't that many guava desserts out there, as opposed to its tropical friends like mango, passion fruit, or lychee. Guava needs more attention. NORMALIZE GUAVA IN DESSERTS!
