Creamy butternut-sage penne with crispy prosciutto

Okay, so after an insanely indulgent weekend, I am back with my Hello Fresh kits, starting with tonight's creamy butternut-sage penne with crispy prosciutto. This was AMAZING. Frankly, I don't think the butternut squash was really necessary, especially given the effort to prepare it. I mean, I suppose it gives the pasta some body and texture, but the majority of the creaminess came from the cream cheese and the parmesan and the most distinguishable flavours came from the prosciutto and sage. Still, this pasta was really excellent. Would definitely make it again without the butternut squash.
