I sincerely hope that Western media, interviewers, and the general public take BTS more seriously now instead of pigeonholing them as popular K-pop idols or a boy band with millions of rabid teenage fans. They are quite literally the appointed mouthpiece for future generations. Their entire schedule in NYC this past week has proven their immense power and influence among global youth and the impact they have to create change for the better. Kudos to Juju Chang for asking insightful, intelligent, and relevant questions.
