(Warning: This post is long and photo-heavy.)
Yes, it's that time of year! BTS' Memories of 2020 DVD set has finally been released! The Memories set is my favourite annual release from BTS, not only because of the sheer amount of content that is included in it, but also because it includes all the behind-the-scenes of literally every single thing they've done over the course of the year — basically, all the stuff that isn't released to the public. You would think that 2020 was a total write-off, but BTS kept as busy as ever. (A pandemic ain't gonna stop the biggest musical act in the world from breaking records or hitting milestones or you know, being the biggest musical act in the world.) And lest we forget that 2020 marked BTS' most successful year in their career to date, Memories of 2020 is here just to remind us of that.
Memories of 2020 comes in both DVD and Blu-ray format; this is the unboxing post for the DVD set only. It retails for ₩68,000 or $63.17 USD (approximately $80 CAD) on Weverse Global Shop. This year's set comes in a bright jade green colour scheme with bubblegum pink accents. Like the last three years' Memories sets, this year's set comes in a ring binder format. It includes seven DVDs with a whopping 722 minutes of video content; a 214-page photobook consisting of photos from all of their events in 2020, divided chronologically into seven sections; a "stamp collection" sheet; a 2020 Today's Bangtan photobook; and a randomized member photocard. For those who pre-ordered from Weverse Shop, there is also an exclusive gift, which is a photo stand.
Each section of the photobook binder is divided by a photo of each member. Section 1 features RM on the plastic divider, and includes behind-the-scenes photos taken from all their schedules during the Map of the Soul: 7 era. Section 2 features Suga on the plastic divider, and includes behind-the-scenes photos taken from Agust D's "Daechwita" MV and dance practice. Section 3 features Jimin on the plastic divider, and includes behind-the-scenes photos taken from the preparation, rehearsal, shooting of Bang Bang Con: The Live.
Section 4 features V on the plastic divider, and includes behind-the-scenes photos taken from all the schedules for "Dynamite." Section 5 features J-Hope on the plastic divider, and includes behind-the-scenes from all the schedules during the BE comeback.
(DVDs)
Section 6 features Jin on the plastic divider, and includes behind-the-scenes photos taken from various award shows, magazine photo shoots, and BigHit's New Year's Eve Live event. Section 7 features Jungkook on the plastic divider, and includes a "stamp collection" (a sheet of mini photos that are perforated to look like stamps), the seven DVDs, and credits.

Of course, we have the requisite randomized member photocard (as per usual, I am convinced that Weverse Shop personally knows my biases because I got Jimin again), as well as the 2020 Today's Bangtan photobook, which features all the photos that were posted for Today's Bangtan. (In case you don't know, BTS always poses for a photo after every major event or schedule or performance, and their staff posts these photos on Twitter right after the event. These photos are called "Today's Bangtan.") For those of us who pre-ordered Memories of 2020 on Weverse Shop, we also got a bonus gift which is a photo stand featuring BTS during one of the BE jacket photo shoots.
Anyway, I have 722 delicious minutes of BTS content to watch, so I better start now.
