I follow several food "influencers" on Instagram and a few of them who are located in the Greater Toronto Area have raved about Yin Sushi Market recently. It's a take-out only store that specializes in gorgeous sushi platters and chirashi boxes, among your more standard sushi fare. So I mentioned it to Ronsee a few weeks ago and we finally went to check it out. We decided to try the Bara Chirashi Don (salmon, tuna, hamachi, toro, ikura, scallop, tako, shrimp, uni, and tamago on a bed of rice), the salmon Oshizushi (torched salmon, jalapeño, red tobiko, and green onion), and the Unagi Dragon Roll (unagi, avocado, cucumber, shrimp, kanikama, black tobiko).

At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. The three items together after tax was just under $90; the roll and the oshizushi have pretty standard pricing, but the Bara Chirashi Don is what takes up most of the cost — $51 for a single box — and for good reason. The quality is excellent, the variety is on-point, and the craftsmanship and presentation are impeccable. Perfect for special occasions. Or for days when you just wanna pretend it's a special occasion. Or you just want fancy sushi.
