J-Hope — "Blue Side"

Hobi released a full version of "Blue Side" today, in honour of the 3rd anniversary of his first mixtape, Hope World. Hobi originally released this song as the outro on Hope World and I always wished it was longer because it had such a great mellow, night-time groove. Three years later, Hobi has released it as a full song, and it is perfection. It's one of those songs that you immediately get into. It doesn't take multiple listens. The beat, the lyrics, the vocal effects, the melancholy feeling... I think it feels even sadder and more poignant because Hobi is known to be such a bright, happy person (he's our sunshine, after all) and we rarely, if ever, see this side of him. But it's become one of my favourite BTS solo releases to date.
