This week's Friday Five:
- Which celebrity couple, past or present, do you find particularly interesting? Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love. Or Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen. I find such tragic, turbulent relationships to be quite fascinating.
- A couplet is a pair of rhyming lines of verse, one after another. In the form of a couplet, how would you describe your weekend?
It's already Lunar New Year
And yet, I am still stuck here.
- With what (or whom) have you recently, consciously uncoupled? Maybe not so recently, but many of my old colleagues at MAC. There are the handful that I still keep in contact with, but over time, I've become distant with the majority of them. Not a falling out or anything, but something that just happened naturally. Like, I was super close with a lot of my co-workers at one of the locations I worked at and we always hung out and formed great friendships, but after I left, we gradually stopped talking and now I only see updates of their life on Instagram.
- When did you last purchase something in a two-pack only because it doesn't come in a one-pack? Febreze plug-in air freshener refills. I prefer two-packs for these, though, so I don't have to buy them as often.
- What were you doing a couple of hours ago, and what will you be doing in a couple of hours? It's currently about 5:15PM. A couple hours ago, I was sleeping. (I'm on vacation this week, so I've been going to sleep around 7:30AM every day instead of my usual 6:00AM bed time.) In a couple hours, I'm having Chinese New Year dinner at my dad's.
Total opposites on celebrity couples. I like Courtney. I like Kurt. I was stressed out with them together. I want the ones you think could actually make it for the long haul.
ReplyDeleteHappy new year! Have you seen Ronnie Chieng's Netflix standup special? He has a great bit about Lunar New Year in it. It's actually about how Chinese people love money more than anyone else. :)
Haha, I didn't say I liked them as couple - I just find them the most interesting. ;)
DeleteI haven't seen his standup special, but probably because I don't have Netflix. Maybe I'll see if it's somewhere on YouTube. But it's true, we do love money more than anyone else, LOL.
