Went over to my dad's for Chinese New Year dinner!

Chinese New Year Dinner

Spring rolls

Sweet and sour pork

Coconut curry chicken
Not really being traditional, he just made us all our favourites: Spring rolls (which actually is considered a "lucky food" for Chinese New Year to represent wealth), sweet and sour pork, coconut curry chicken with potatoes and carrots, and roasted broccoli ('cause we needed a veg). It's weird because growing up, my dad never cooked so I didn't know that he was actually good at it. (My mom hates cooking and is terrible at it. Like mother, like daughter.) But he opened up a restaurant in China about a decade ago and since retiring and moving back here, he just loves cooking at home all the time and is always telling me to drop by any time for dinner. I really should take him up on that offer...
Hope everyone had a safe and happy Lunar New Year!
