This week's Friday Five:
- What will you remembrr about this past week? J-Hope's chaotic birthday livestreams and BTS' chaotic OT7 livestream for the release of their BE Essential Edition album. I had to go back to work on Tuesday after a week of vacation so, quite frankly, these were the highlights of my week.
- What's trying its best to clobbrr you these days? Work, winter, pandemic, ennui. I've just been feeling down in general.
- What's going on in the neighbrrhood? Well, my condo management just sent everyone an e-mail notice about people parking in unauthorized spots... and another notice for dog owners to pick up their pets' shit... But I don't notice these things 'cause I only leave my apartment once a week...
- When were you recently required to summon some brravery? Well, every two weeks, I go to the supermarket, which is quite risky since we're in lockdown...
- Over what will you happily labrr this weekend? Cleaning the apartment. I'm not happy while doing it, but I am happy afterwards.
There seems to be a LOT of feeling down these days. I think COVID weariness is taking its toll on us all. Hang in there. <3
ReplyDeletePringles I can take or leave -- I've never really liked the texture, but I've been known to go to town on a whole can once every few years.
I did a Yelp search for cioppino in Toronto, and it looks like you have a bunch of options!
Yeah, I think it's finally getting to me. It's not helping that we're also in the middle of winter, which means that I'm getting even less sunlight than I normally do being nocturnal. I mean, I usually get that winter-blues-cabin-fever feeling this time of year, but it's definitely amplified because of COVID. Can't even go out to eat to cheer myself up. I hope you're doing okay. <3
DeleteI'm having a Pringles moment right now. It started because there was a huge sale on Pringles a couple of weeks ago. Like, every single retailer was having a special price on them, from supermarkets to the drugstore to Walmart. (Maybe there was a massive surplus of Pringles in Canada?) I picked up five cans, LOL.
There are definitely quite a lot of restaurants to get cioppino in Toronto, but almost all of them are downtown or further -- at least 30 minutes away by car from where I live. I'm actually surprised it's not more commonly available around here, even at seafood restaurants. Maybe I can see if one of my cooking-inclined friends is willing to make it, lol!
