Ying and I headed down to Bloom Cafe this afternoon for the first Jimin global birthday cafe event of the year!
As Ying and I were still exhausted from watching BTS' Map of the Soul ON:E virtual concerts two days in a row after eight-hour shifts at work (absolutely no regrets, the whole experience was phenomenal), we decided to get flat whites for our drinks to get the cup sleeves — this time provided by @BTSCupsleeveUSA — as well as a couple of mocha and chestnut cream puffs as a little treat (not pictured because we couldn't eat them at the cafe so they ended up getting a little smushed in our purses on their way home).
This event was hosted by our lovely friend Fatima (who hosted the awesome Bangtan Holiday event last year) and Minnie, who put in an incredible amount of effort in decorating the space (from the floral balloon wall piece to the hundreds of Polaroid photos to the big screen playing videos of Jimin's performances), designing and printing out adorable photo cards to give out, and making sure everything went without a hitch while adhering to the city's safety guidelines. We ended up chatting with them for over an hour and it reminded us how fun it is to be with fellow ARMY, to have such a wonderful thing in common, and why, despite the toxic 1%, this fandom is like a family.
