Ying and I got up early to go to Bloom Cafe today for the Bangtan Holiday cafe event hosted by @MikrokosmosTO!
I ordered a flat white to get the cute cup sleeve they had made for this event (also because I needed the caffeine), and then ordered the Earl Grey and matcha cream croissants for myself and shared a strawberry eclair with Ying. Because eating this much sugar for the first meal of the day is the only proper way to celebrate the holidays, diabetes be damned. The cafe was decorated to the nines in BTS and holiday decor, with Christmas-themed BTS videos (Run BTS! episodes, Bangtan Bombs, etc.) playing on a screen at the back and BTS songs blasting on the stereo system. Along with the cup sleeves, the two girls behind @MikrokosmosTO also handed out BTS holiday gift bags (that included an adorable holiday greeting card, a Korean face sheet mask, and a stack of photocards) with mini candy canes. I can't even imagine how much time it took for them to organize all of this — from designing the cup sleeves and getting them manufactured, to making and buying all the decorations and BTS photos to put up in the cafe, to literally hand-tying BTS tags to hundreds of mini candy canes. It honestly amazes me every time I go to one of these cafe events, just thinking about the sheer amount of time and effort it takes to host one — and all of it for free. Like, these hosts don't make any profit out of these events; they literally just organize them out of their love of BTS.
Several other ARMYs there handed out a variety of photocards as well (even full-size photos of the boys from the Jingle Ball last week!), with one girl bringing in full-on gift bags of photocards organized by bias (I got the Jimin pack), and another girl with holographic BT21 decals and Run BTS!-themed stickers. It really reminds me how much of a community the BTS ARMY is, and how we always come together to just share our love of BTS with one another. Happy Bangtan Holidays, indeed!
