First, I want to point out how fucking amazing their live vocals are for this song. Goddamn. Like, every single one of them (even the rap line!) hit every note smoothly and flawlessly. Secondly, I love how relaxed and effortless they look with this choreo. It's perfectly reflective of the ease and joy of the song itself and it never fails to put me in a good mood. Thirdly, they are adorable as fuck, and the '70s Gucci outfits are really just highlighting how they can literally pull off any style from any era. Now, with that having been said...
The Recording Academy always teases us by inviting BTS to do things like this — performing for this Press Play series, doing an in-depth interview for the Grammy Museum, performing at the 2020 Grammys as a collaborator with Lil Nas X for "Old Town Road" (a song that only one member featured on for the remix), making an appearance at the 2019 Grammys just to present the Best R&B Award (a genre that they have nothing to do with) — fully knowing the huge popularity of BTS and the power of ARMY (read: viewership), and yet, they are never nominated for an actual award. If BTS doesn't get nominated next year — especially because they write and produce on all of their albums, on top of out-selling and out-performing their Western counterparts and breaking countless global records — this will only light more fire under the allegations that the Grammys are rigged as hell.
