We got a surprise livestream this morning!
- Jimin has black hair!!!
- Jimin's sweater is A+++. Don't know if he actually knows who The Velvet Underground & Nico are or if he just likes the Warhol banana, but that's besides the point. The sweater is badass.
- LOL, that awkward moment when you're a spokesperson for Samsung's latest phones, but your ringtone is from an iPhone. (They totally edited this part out in the replay upload.)
- MINIMONI IN THE HOUSE!
- Joonie looks like an adorable Nintendo character in that outfit, like Mario and Luigi's long-lost Korean brother.
- Okay, but I am so proud of Joonie for cooking for himself. (Steak and spaghetti aglio e olio! That's legit cooking!)
- LOL, it took a full four minutes for Joon to realize that they were livestreaming.
- The reality of COVID-19 when you're the God of Destruction:
[Jimin goes to get warm water off-screen]
Joon: *drops whisks on table* We need to wash these.
Jimin: They're washed.
Joon: Ah, okay... Did you wash the table, too?
[silence]
Jimin: ... did you drop something?
Joon: *looks at table* Not to the floor...
Jimin: It'll be fine, then.
Joon: Right?
Jimin: It won't kill us...
- At the prospect of making Dalgona coffee:
Joon: It feels like I'm joining trendy hipsters.
- While starting to whisk their Dalgona coffee mixtures:
Joon: I cooked aglio e olio spaghetti already! I can do anything now.
Jimin: Do you have plans to cook something?
Joon: Aglio e olio spaghetti was very easy...
Jimin: Really?
Joon: I'm terrible at cooking... It was fun, though.
Jimin: So now you're entering the world of cooking? Surpassing Jin?
Joon: Well, actually, it's more like, "Even I can cook."
Jimin: Ah, like giving hope and dreams to people?
Joon: Not to people, but to myself. To give hopes and dreams to myself. "I can do this!"
- While whisking their Dalgona coffee furiously:
[Namjoon's mixture looks like a medium brown while Jimin's is still quite dark]
Joon: Huge gap between Jimin and me.
Jimin: Ah, this hurts my pride.
Joon: To do this well, you have to be a nice person. *smiling widely at the camera* It's nothing special.
[after a minute, arms tired, slowing down the whisking]
Jimin: Why are we doing this? Why do people make this at home? Who made this?
Joon: Who made this recipe?
Jimin: I don't know. Why do they do this in the first place? Why? Why!
- Listening to the background music:
Joon: I like this music. Where did you find this? New Age?
Jimin: Huh?
Joon: Where did you find this?
Jimin: This is what I listen to when I wash the dishes!
- Jimin, back to whisking furiously: I have to do this to give hopes and dreams to the fans!
- Background music ends:
Joon: What was that applause?
Jimin: For doing a great job with the performance.
Joon: Do you really listen to this when you wash the dishes? Be honest.
Jimin: Oh, yeah.
Joon: Oh, really? Me, too.
Jimin: ... just once.
- Jimin finally puts his Dalgona mixture on top of milk:
Jimin: Do we have to drink it as it is, or do we mix it?
[looks at comments]
Jimin: I mean, listen. If you're going to mix it anyway, why go through all the trouble? You could just put it at the beginning.
Joon: [thinks seriously] ... I'll ask.
Jimin: So you're supposed to drink it like this [with the Dalgona mixture on top of milk].
Joon: Like that? That might be too sweet.
Jimin: *gingerly takes a sip* ... I only got the milk.
[both laughing]
Jimin: I can't taste the Dalgona because it's floating. Why can't I taste it?
Joon: I don't think that's how you drink it.
Jimin: Seriously. If you're going to mix it together [at the end] anyway, why bother going through all this?
Joon: *contemplating* I thought the same thing when I made aglio e olio. It's better to just order.
[both laughing]
- Discussing everyone having to be in quarantine right now:
Joon: We are all bored at home.
Jimin: Yeah, I thought about what we could do to entertain the fans. We were discussing, and we didn't know much about Dalgona coffee, so we-
Joon: I wanted to try it, really.
Jimin: It's fun to do this at home. [I figured] they could do it with us watching this live.
Joon: I mean, I told you. Kim Namjoon is making aglio e olio at home.
Jimin: Yeah, that doesn't make sense.
Joon: That's what happened!
- They might as well just become YouTubers. Like, let's forget for a second that these guys are global sensations and apart of the biggest band in the world right now. They are funny AF.
- Conclusion: Dalgona coffee is not worth the effort, though an excellent way to waste time while in quarantine.
