On a whim, my friend Cynthia and I went to try DM Chicken for dinner. We'd never been there before so we weren't sure what to expect. We originally thought it was Korean fried chicken, and while they do have chicken wings, they're actually known for their stir-fried chicken platters! We decided on the platter for two, which includes their chicken (we got original sauce, which is kind of a sweet soy sauce glaze) that's stir-fried with onions, garlic, potatoes, carrots, and rice cakes. It also comes with a vat of cheese for dipping (!!!) plus sides of fries and salad (to keep it healthy, obviously), as well as bowls of rice. The platter comes served on a heating board so your food stays hot throughout. I've never actually encountered a restaurant that serves something like this before, where everything is neatly displayed on a heating platter for the whole table to share (in a way that's different from hot pot or BBQ). Everything was quite tasty, but frankly, it's pretty pricey for what you get, so I'd just come here for the novelty alone.
