As any ARMY will know, it's comeback season, which means anything can be released at midnight KST for the next two weeks. BigHit released the first two sets of concept photos for Map of the Soul: Persona two days ago, so we expected the second two sets to be released today (concept photos are always released two days apart). And like clockwork, Version 3 was posted right at midnight KST:

I'm getting Le Petit Prince vibes from this set. The background colours are really muted with the splashes of colours provided by their outfits or hair colours, but they never take away from the tone or vibrancy of the rose. But what's more telling for the concept is that the left photos are really stiff and awkward, like they're unsure of what to do and are waiting for cues on what to do next. The photos on the right show the boys in romantic, "heartthrob" poses, with the red rose always front and centre. I'm not gonna get into Jungian theory, but going back to the persona theme, I'd say this is the "public" persona they use to charm people — they're totally conscious of what they're doing. Relating this to Le Petit Prince, two quotes come to mind. The first one is, "It is the time you have lost for your rose that makes your rose so important." And the second, more significant one is, "One sees clearly only with the heart. The essential is invisible to the eye."
