This week's Monday Poll:
  1. Candy canes or gingerbread men? Gingerbread men. Candy canes are boring AF. I can't remember a time past the age of like, 12, when I've cared for a candy cane.

  2. Mittens or gloves? Gloves, 100%. I'm a smoker.

  3. Try any new beauty products lately? A few, actually! The first one is Ole Henriksen's Invigorating Night Transformation Gel. I've been using it for a couple weeks now, and I've gotta say, I've noticed that my skin has gotten smoother and more even in tone. It does seem to renew my skin faster, so that little breakout I had on my chin went away faster. The second one is Morphe's Continuous Setting Mist, which is my new favourite setting spray. I love that it has an aerosol spray so the mist is far more evenly dispersed and I just have to hold the nozzle continuously rather than pump it many times to coat my entire face. And I also like that it doesn't make me look oily as fast. Like, I still have to blot by midday, but I'm not as greasy when I do. It also smells nice. The third is Too Faced's Sugar Peach Wet and Dry Face & Eye Palette, of which I've been using at least one shade every day, whether on my cheeks or eyes. Great textures, blendability, and finishes, and incredibly wearable shades for everyday use.

  4. Road trip or plane ride? It depends on where I'm going and how much time I have, but I generally prefer road trips. Obviously, it's far more limiting and time-consuming, but I like that I have full control of mode of transportation. I can drive fast or slow, stop for food or snacks, bathroom breaks, or shopping, play music as loud as I want, etc. Plus, I don't have to wait for hours for customs and security, and packing for road trips is far less stressful. Also, road trips are cheaper. But I've been on far more plane rides than road trips because ultimately, I value efficiency more than anything else.

  5. Walk me through the steps you take to fill in your brows. First, I draw the shape of my brows with MAC Eye Brows in Lingering to make them symmetrical. I then fill in my brows with it. I use a small, stiff, angled brush to blend in the shade with my hairs and extend the tail a bit. Then I use MAC Eye Brows in Spiked from mid-brow to the tail to give a slight ombre effect. However, MAC discontinued Eye Brows and replaced it with Eye Brows Styler, which is stiffer, waxier, harder to blend, and not as rich in colour. Plus, the shades are different now. (Why did they fuck with such a good product? I used the old Eye Brows formula for over a decade and it was my ride-or-die. I think I am more pissed about this discontinuation than anything else MAC has ever discontinued, and that is really saying something.) So once I finish my stash of Eye Brows (of which I hoarded quite a lot early on this year and am finally down to my last two), I will switch over to Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, which I have used before and loved.
