Had a late dinner with my girls Tuta and Maegan at Fraticelli's tonight. We got the fried calamari to share (they don't beat the ones at Grazie or Locale, which are still my all-time favourite, but they do come with a really good lemon basil aioli dip) and I ordered tonight's dinner special, Linguine Vongole, for my main: clams, extra virgin olive oil, double-smoked bacon, white wine, chicken stock, fresh chilies, garlic, butter, shallots, and peas. Overall, it was enjoyable, but I do wish there was more double-smoked bacon to balance out the excessive amount of peas (which kind of muted out all the other flavours). I have mixed feelings about Fraticelli's because their food is somewhat inconsistent, but their service is fantastic, the interior is sleek and airy, and the atmosphere is really warm and comfortable. It's not my go-to Italian restaurant but it's a nice non-Asian option when dining in Richmond Hill.
