First off, I gotta say that the quality of the shadows in Love in the Glades are fantastic across the board: they all go on smoothly, evenly, and pigmented with great colour pay-off, and they blend out beautifully. Even the re-promoted shades (Cumulus and Neoprene Green) seem to execute better here than in previous iterations. Secondly, Love in the Glades is really more wearable than it looks. It is the sole cool-toned product in Fruity Juicy, and many people are going to be wary about the bright green in this, but it's ultimately a neutral palette with a singular pop of colour so it's easier to use than it seems. The other green shade, Palm Leaves, is warm and muted enough to integrate easily with a multitude of shades. Love in the Glades is definitely a sultry take on cool tones, very mysterious and smoky — think colours you'd see in a rainforest during a storm. It provides a nice contrast to the rest of the collection, which is significantly warmer and punchier, and together, these colour schemes really encompass the whole tropical island theme of Fruity Juicy. It's really refreshing to see a unique and totally wearable cool-toned palette in a summer release — which is made even sexier against gorgeous bronzed, glowing skin.
