Here's the video I took of London Grammar at Sound Academy last night, performing their cover of Kavinsky's "Nightcall" (one of my favourite songs, ever). Hannah Reid has amazing voice control that makes her range incredibly impressive. Though nothing will ever surpass the original song in my eyes (my ears?), London Grammar interpreted the song beautifully and made it their own — haunting, ethereal, and powerful at the same time.

They are so, so good! I have been listening to them for a while - can't wait for them to come out with another album in the future!
ReplyDeleteThey're fantastic! This cover is actually what originally got me into them. I have to be in the right mood to listen to their album because it's such a mellow vibe, but seeing them live definitely makes me appreciate their talents more. I think the only disappointing thing about their album is that a lot of their songs sound very similar, kind of melancholic and haunting. I hope they showcase a bigger range of music on their next album!
