This past Thursday, MAC released their collaboration with Sharon and Kelly Osbourne. The collection is separated into two parts, one for Sharon and one for Kelly. The entire collection features a total of 26 products — 13 products for each Sharon and Kelly — of which 19 are new and limited edition, four are re-promotes, and three are permanent. Sharon Osbourne will see the release of one new and limited edition Powder Blush. It comes in a special edition red compact with a clear lid and Sharon's signature in lavender, as well as a matching secondary cardstock box. Each Powder Blush contains 6 grams of product, and retails for $27.50.
Peaches & Cream
Peaches & Cream
Peaches & Cream is a medium brightened warm strawberry gelato pink with a subtle silver micro-shimmer in a Satin finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. It has a soft, silky, finely-milled texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is slightly lighter and warmer than Dollymix, cooler and more pink than Fleur Power, lighter and more pink than Desert Rose, and more muted than Whole Lotta Love Pro Longwear Blush.
Love, love, love. Love! I actually have no idea why this is called Peaches & Cream because it is neither peach nor cream nor a combination of the two, but this is a gorgeous shade that will work on all skintones and all undertones. It hits that middle ground between a rose and a coral; the colour itself is actually on the warmer side, but the subtle shimmer in it makes it appear a touch cooler. On a warmer skintone, this will appear warmer, and on a cooler skintone, it will appear cooler. You can use a lighter hand and a fluffier brush to achieve a softer, more natural flush (or if you're fair), or you can layer it on for a bright pop of colour (or if you're darker). Either way, it is pigmented but very blendable, so it's easy for everyone to use. Plus, the Satin finish makes it wearable for all skin types without emphasizing skin texture, and the fine micro-shimmer gives the skin a subtle luminosity so it doesn't look flat. And there's nothing too similar to this in MAC's permanent blush range. A definite must-have from the Osbournes collection, in my opinion.
I'm starting to think some of the MAC shade names are just for jokes. :)
ReplyDeleteI think this is one of those shades that will look a little different on everyone depending on their skin tone. I sense danger with the Osbornes. Will avoid to keep myself from becoming hungry and homeless, lol.
LOL, right? I wonder how they decide the final names of some of these shades. Like, Relentlessly Red... which isn't actually a red.
DeleteAnd yes, it is one of those shades. On me, it's much warmer, but I tried it on a much darker skintone, and it took on a much more reddened shade.
LOL, yes, much danger with this collection. I think they should've pushed back the launch date by a week or two, so there was more space from Alluring Aquatics. People are still reeling from spending all their money on that one. :P
Holy - ! I want it. Does it have to say Sharon Osbourne on it? :P But dude. Seriously. I've been thinking about Relentlessly Red and was thinking about going in to a MAC counter, and THIS. I don't think I have anything like this. Damnit. I cannot be spending money right now...we're about to go out of town for S.'s brother's wedding. WHY YOU DO THIS, DENISE?
ReplyDeleteWell, you can always save up your containers for Relentlessly Red 'cause it's permanent! But this blush! THIS BLUSH!!! It's SO PRETTTYYYYY!!! If you're gonna splurge, this is the time!
