Corallina is a medium vibrant reddened orange-coral with a gold shimmer-sheen in a frosted finish. This was a permanent shade, but is now being discontinued. It has a lightweight, silky texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is more orange than MAC Gleeful Mineralize Blush, lighter and more coral than MAC Ambering Rose, more coral and more shimmery than MAC Modern Mandarin, brighter and less pink than MAC Pinch Me, brighter and more shimmery than Clinique Ginger Pop, more orange than NARS Torrid, and more muted and more orange than Tarte Frisky.
Rose D'Oro is a light-medium peachy bronze with a gold shimmer-sheen in a frosted finish. This is a permanent shade. It has a lightweight, silky texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is lighter and more gold than MAC Sunbasque, more peach than MAC Margin, darker and more peach than MAC Trace Gold, less orange than NARS Luster, darker and more bronze than Too Faced Peach Beach, lighter and less brown than Hard Candy Bombshell, and more peach than Tarte Buff.
Dolce Pink is a light-medium warm pink with a gold shimmer-sheen in a frosted finish. This is a permanent shade. It has a lightweight, silky texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. Aside from the terribly cheap packaging, the formula of these blushes is actually really beautiful; they're soft, pigmented, and all go on smoothly and evenly. I would say these are most similar to MAC's Mineralize Blushes, which are also baked. While these are slightly grittier than MAC's version, these add a gorgeous flush of colour and a beautiful glow to the skin. If you're a fan of MAC's Mineralize Blushes or want to try them but don't want to spend the money, Milani's Baked Blushes are a fantastic option — and you can feel less guilty 'cause these are a third of the price, too. So if you're a blush fiend like me, you'll end up getting three shades instead of one.
I bought one for Liz once, but I'm not a super blush fiend, I guess, so I was never interested :P I do want Trace Gold now, though, LOL. I find your descriptions of similar products and dupes super helpful, Denise!
ReplyDelete(okay, I've wanted Trace Gold for a while now, but seeing as I instantly thought oooh that middle one is pretty, a little too orange...)
Lol it was Corallina!
DeleteApparently Corallina is discontinued? It's still at my local Loblaws but it's not on their website anymore. It is a truly spectacular shade. :)
Delete@Larie: You might wanna check out Margin, too, if Trace Gold is too light for you! And I'm glad you find my dupes helpful -- at least SOMEONE is getting use out of 'em. ;)
DeleteYessss, I love Milani blushes! Such pretty swatches.
ReplyDeleteHaha, thanks! I can't believe I'm just getting into them now. I think I just avoided them for so long because of all the hype. And the packaging. I don't like the packaging. But the formula is really gorgeous and the price is right. ;)
Deleteooooo quite pretty!
ReplyDeleteRight?! Do you have any of them?
DeleteYOU NEED LUMINOSO. I'll post the review this week and then you will rush out to get it because PRETTY.
ReplyDeleteI picked up a few more of these with my PC points at Loblaws as well. Freaking Milani. The checkout girl was all, "What's so good about this?" LOL
Unnngggh, Lizzzzz, I feel like I need to get ALL OF THEM now. :( Luminoso is still on my to-buy list; I'm just waiting for my local Loblaws to re-stock it.
DeleteSadly, I don't collect PC points! Damnit. Maybe they'll go on sale.
You guys make me want to get past my packaging issues and buy one or five of these. Urgh but why does it have to be so gaudy and shiny and gold!? Black packaging (or silver) please!!!
ReplyDeleteI TOTALLY AGREE. The packaging on these is AWFUL. That's why I resisted for so long. But the actual product is really worth it!!!
