Okay, upon looking at this palette, my first impression was, "Boooooring." MAC has released a ton of palettes like this before, and you can definitely build your own palette at a MAC Store with incredibly similar shades. That having been said, this is actually a really beautiful quad — all four shades have gorgeous textures that go on smoothly with full colour pay-off, and are all very easy to use. Moreover, they're incredibly wearable and look stunning on all skintones from fair to dark. The only thing I can complain about is that they're extremely dupeable shades, which makes this palette skippable if you have something similar (which you probably do, given the popularity of palettes like, say, Urban Decay's Naked). Oh, and all four shades have various amounts of shimmer, too, so if you prefer mattes, this won't necessarily appeal to you, either. Still, this is a palette I can see myself reaching for over and over again, because I know any combination I create with it is foolproof and also because it travels well.
Yeah, I have similar shades in two of my palettes. I'm loving the rose gold packaging of this collection though! Pretty!
ReplyDeleteI have soooooo many similar shades to these in my stash, it's unreal how many neutral eyeshadows I have. :P
DeleteI love the rose gold aspect to the packaging, but I really hate the logo and signature -- it makes it look tacky and not in a good way...
I would actually really like to know how many you have, hahaha.
DeleteIt's possible that it's in the 100s... but who's keeping count...? :P
