Was craving Korean for dinner, so we went to Owl of Minerva. I decided to go with the bibimbap, which was, sadly, mediocre at best. Maybe I'm just used to the dolsot version, but it was just lacking in flavour and substance; I felt like I needed to add a crapload of soy sauce and hot sauce, which I never do. Conclusion: Stick with the pork bone soup next time.

DOLSOT FTW. I can't have Bibimbap any other way.
ReplyDeleteRIGHT? I don't know what came over me, Mary. Maybe I was feeling adventurous. NO MORE.
DeleteTotal food envy, as everyone else got pork bone soup. DAMNIT.
Yeah, that's a sad looking bibimbap. That's what you eat at home when you can't find anything else to eat. Was there anything else underneath the egg?
ReplyDeleteIt does look really sad. :( There was rice and beef and some other veg. I was not impressed with this one AT ALL. I should've known. Owl of Minerva is known for their pork bone soup. WHY DID I STRAY?!
DeleteLove Korean food. And for bibimbap, definitely the dolsot way.
ReplyDeleteMe, too, dolsot bibimbap is the best when I'm craving rice at a Korean restaurant. :) But this bibimbap was sad, sad, sad, lol.
