Last Thursday, MAC launched their holiday mini kits collection called Guilty Passions. There is a total of six kits in this collection, all of which are new and limited edition, and in special edition packaging for holiday. Guilty Passions sees the release of three Lip Gloss sets, each containing two Cremesheen Glass, one Dazzleglass, and one Dazzleglass Crème in clear tubes with a black bow design. Each kit is housed in a round, pale pink, chevron-print box trimmed with a black patent bow. Both Dazzleglass and Dazzleglass Crème come with brush applicators, and Cremesheen Glass comes with a doe-foot applicator. All of the glosses are vanilla-scented but taste-free. Each set contains a total of 8.3 grams of product (2.6 grams in each Dazzleglass, and 1.9 grams in each Dazzleglass Crème and Cremesheen Glass), and retails for $38.50.

On the Scene, Sublime Shine, Geo Pink, and Out for Glamour

On the Scene is a light-medium peach in the Cremesheen Glass formula. It is a re-promoted shade from 2010's In the Groove collection, and is limited edition. The texture is creamy, and it goes on smoothly and evenly, though the milkiness of the shade tends to emphasize lip lines. It has medium pigmentation and semi-opaque colour pay-off. It is more peach than Boy Bait, and less pink than Double Happiness.
Sublime Shine is a light-medium tangerine-peach with gold and orange micro-shimmer in the Dazzleglass Crème formula. It is a re-promoted shade from 2009's Dazzleglass Crèmes collection, and is limited edition. The texture is creamy, and it goes on smoothly and evenly. It has low-medium pigmentation and semi-sheer colour pay-off. It is much sparklier than Rising Sun Cremesheen Glass, and much more orange than Smile Dazzleglass.
Geo Pink is a medium-dark rose-coral with gold and soft white micro-shimmer in the Cremesheen Glass formula. It is a re-promoted shade from last year's Semi-Precious collection, and is limited edition. The texture is creamy, and it goes on smoothly and evenly. It has medium-high pigmentation and semi-opaque colour pay-off. It is darker and more coral than Dynasty at Dusk, and lighter and more orange than Double Dare.
Out for Glamour is a light-medium warm pink with magenta and silver shimmer in the Dazzleglass formula. It is a new and limited edition shade. The texture is slightly gritty, but goes on smoothly and evenly. It has low pigmentation and semi-sheer colour pay-off. It is similar to Steppin' Out.

Of all the sets that MAC comes out with for the holidays, the lip gloss kits offer the best value. The Dazzleglasses in these sets actually have more product than their full-size counterparts, and the Cremesheen Glasses and Dazzleglass Crèmes come with only slightly less product than their full-size counterparts. In total, you are getting $83.94 worth of lip gloss for $38.50! If you like the formulas included in this kit and you like at least two of the shades, it's definitely worth getting.

  1. So pretty and girly. Looks like it'll be a good gift for a tween/teenager. (I'm thinking of my cousin's daughter who I keep gifting beauty products to and probably not allowed to wear makeup yet...)

    1. LOL! This is my favourite set as a whole. The colours remind me of a sunset! It is really summery, though... But I do think tweens/teens can wear this for a touch of colour and shine without looking crazy or being overwhelmed. :)
