Last Thursday, MAC released a new collection called Glamour Daze, which is this year's holiday colour collection. This launch features a total of 35 products — 24 of which are new and limited edition, nine of which are re-promotes, and two of which are permanent. Glamour Daze sees the release of eight new and limited edition shades of Extra Dimension Eyeshadow, which has a "liquid-powder hybrid formula with prismatic reflections" that creates a "luminous, visually arresting, well-defined finish." Each Extra Dimension Eyeshadow features a wave design embossed on the surface with the MAC logo imprinted around it. They are packaged in limited edition glossy black pots with clear lids and the MAC logo in white, and come in matching cardstock boxes. Each Extra Dimension Eyeshadow comes with 1.3 grams of product, and retails for $22.50.

Love, love, love Extra Dimension Eyeshadows! I'm so glad MAC decided to release them again, because the formula is absolutely gorgeous. It somehow has that really smooth, ultra-pigmented look of a Veluxe Pearl eyeshadow while being super-lightweight like a Mineralize eyeshadow. And you can use these both wet and dry, so you can play around with the intensity and colour pay-off. The only thing I'm not too pleased about is the fact that these guys are quite a bit smaller than the original ones that came out (1.3 grams vs. 2 grams), but they are not that much cheaper ($22.50 vs. $24). However, if you're like me, and you calculate things as cost per use, it'll be about the same (I rarely ever hit pan on an eyeshadow). If you missed out on the Extra Dimension Eyeshadows in April, be sure to check these out now!

  1. This time we are getting the Extra Dimension eyeshadows here so I'm definitely going to swatch some. I'm really tempted by Round Midnight and Stolen Moment.

    4. Technically, Norway didn't get the Extra Dimension shadows :(

I got two today, since they were launched this morning. I got Tall, Dark & Handsome, thanks for the reocmmendation :) and Round Midnight because my favourite MUA there was wearing it on top of Raven. It was gorgeous!

    6. Thanks :) I am wearing Round Midnight today and I love it. The texture and pigment level is amazing. I used Bronze in the inner crease and Make Your Mark in the outer corner.

    7. Beautiful combo! I hope MAC makes the Extra Dimension Eyeshadows permanent. They should just replace all the Lustre finishes... But they always do this -- make AMAAAAAZING formulations and then keep them limited edition. :( I still hope they'll bring back the Mega Metal and Starflash eyeshadows.
