Menchie's

Menchie's time! So, I had mentioned in my last Menchie's post about my discovering a location close to my house. I figured today was the perfect day to take advantage of this fact since the weather has been so glorious lately. (Okay, let's be honest, I'll eat frozen yogurt during any weather, but it has been really nice this week.) I was craving something super-sweet and chocolatey, and thusly: Red velvet and cake batter frozen yogurt with mochi, cheesecake bits, cookie dough bits, brownie chunks, peanuts and the most glorious mini crunchy Rice Krispy balls in melted chocolate. I have no idea if there is an actual name for these mini crunchy Rice Krispy balls in melted chocolate, but it is so good, so addictive, I could seriously eat this on its own, spoonful by spoonful. You can find it by the hot fudge and caramel sauce. Thank me later.

    1. SO GOOD, RIGHT? It's weird, the mochi on frozen yogurt thing is surprisingly not that popular here yet. I mean, mochi with ice cream is super popular at supermarkets and some Japanese restaurants, but not at frozen yogurt places. In North America, I think it started with Pinkberry (which is only available in the US), and now Menchie's.

I've been pretty good, you??? I've missed your posts on your blog. :( And I've missed you commenting around here. :(

  2. They look so good. You have the best taste in desserts. If this whole make up artiste thing doesn't work, you should open a dessert chain. Seriously :)

    1. OMG, you owned a frozen yogurt shop?!?!?! SO JEALOUS. But, you're right, I think it's too much of a good thing if you're surrounded by it all day... Still, it'd be really nice... for about a year. :P

Pinkberry is pretty damn good, you should really try it. I think my favourite frozen yogurt is still Yogen Fruz, though. Do you guys have that over there???

    2. OH MAN! If I had a frozen yogurt shop, I would be my best customer. LOL.

    3. LOL, Mary, you'd be your WORST customer, because there'd be no frozen yogurt left to sell. :P

  4. I love frozen kefir and can't go back to regular yogurt. Though if I topped it with everything possible like you did, it might be okay. lol

    2. Kefir is this fermented milk product that originates from the Middle East area. This place in the financial district makes frozen kefir and it is AWESOME. It's not sweet but there's a depth in flavour that I find lacking in yogurt.
