I went to IHOP for the first time in Niagara Falls, and ordered the breakfast sampler special, which included two eggs, two breakfast sausages, two pieces of ham, two pieces of bacon, hash browns, and two pancakes – all for $13.99, which is very cheap compared to their other menu items. But I was really quite underwhelmed with the food, which was mediocre at best. I should have ordered a more pancake-centric dish, which is, you know, what they're known for (though extremely overpriced; like, seriously, $17 for a stack of pancakes?). Epic fail.

They're that expensive? I've never actually eaten there nor have I wanted to. Will continue to stay away! I miss the days of $4.99 breakfast combos which used to include coffee. :(
ReplyDeleteI sometimes still see the $4.99 breakfast deals around... but they're usually at really small coffee shops and the like. Markham Station still has a pretty good breakfast deal. I don't think it includes coffee, but it includes a TON of stuff (eggs, bacon, sausage, homefries, pancakes, etc.) for $7.99 or something? I usually get too full and end up leaving 1/3 of it. :( But yeah, so far, not impressed with IHOP.
