On Sunday, Shawn and I decided to try Remezzo for dinner. For whatever reason, we always pass by it (and always go to the McDonald's in that same plaza) but we've never actually been there to eat (and it's been around for over 30 years!).

We got the crab cakes to share, which are homemade and oven-baked, served with chipotle mayo dip. They were moist and soft on the inside and nicely crispy and golden-brown on the outside, and were positively delightful. And if they made that chipotle mayo dip to sell, I would buy it by the barrel. I ordered the manicotti as my main dish, which is made with fresh pasta stuffed with generous amounts of ricotta cheese and spinach, and then baked in a basil tomato sauce and a plethora of mozzarella cheese. You cannot go wrong with this dish. Seriously. A pasta with this much cheese is going to be ridiculously tasty. And filling, 'cause I could barely move afterwards (though I made it in the end, thanks to my stretchy leggings).

Shawn had the Veal Parmigiana, which was also fantastic, with really soft and tender veal, lightly breaded and encased in tomato sauce and mozzarella. There was nothing about this meal that I didn't like. They specialize in simple, classic Italian dishes, and they are well-executed. And the restaurant itself is really nice with soft lighting, a big bar at the side, and massive paintings on the walls. I would definitely go there again. There's too many dishes I wanna try.
Hey, Remezzo is right by my house! Their tiramisu is the best I have ever had.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I know it's right by your house -- I've been there, lol. My boyfriend and his friends went to school with your brother, and I went there one night to accompany my friend on one of their poker nights. SMALL WORLD, is all I've gotta say. :P Did you go to Mac as well?
