MAC Surf, Baby!: Lipglasses

MAC's Surf, Baby! collection sees the release of four limited edition shades of Lipglass, three new and one re-promote. I picked up three of four, opting to leave out Krazy Kahuna. Each Lipglass is housed in the limited edition Surf, Baby! packaging. Lipglasses are sticky, tacky, and slightly thick, but they last much longer and are more pigmented than typical glosses as a result. They also smell like vanilla, but are taste-free. Each Lipglass contains 4.8 grams of product, and retails for $18.50.

Strange Potion is a semi-opaque soft pink-coral with pink shimmer. This is a re-promote from last fall's Venomous Villains, and is limited edition. It is similar to Pink Lemonade, but more coral.

Good Lovin' is a semi-sheer pinked champagne with beige shimmer. This is a new and limited edition shade. It is similar to Prrr, but less pale.

Girl On Board is a semi-opaque pale white gold with white shimmer. This is a new and limited edition shade. It is similar to A Quiet Roar (Fabulous Felines) and Almondine (Spring Colour Forecast), or if Lustrewhite and Instant Gold Lustreglasses had a more opaque baby.

Strange Potion and Good Lovin' are much easier to wear and much more flattering across all skintones than Girl On Board, which is better used as a layering tool. I don't think there are any must-haves out of these shades, only because there are so many dupes within the permanent range. That having been said, Strange Potion is a gorgeous shade for summer, and those who missed out on it from Venomous Villains will have a chance to snatch it up now.
