This week's Friday Five:
- Where have you been that could best be described as a winter wonderland? Probably here. I live on the outskirts of Toronto, and my neighbourhood is especially quiet. Sometimes it feels like I'm in an entirely different world, 'cause the houses look like mini cottages, so when it snows, it really looks like a snow globe.
- In what way might you describe this as the winter of your discontent? Well, having lived in Canada for 24 years, I've gotten used to the bitter cold temperatures and snow... But people really need to learn how to drive in it.
- What was the last wintergreen-flavored thing you tasted? Wintergreen Altoids.
- Is there anyone in your life who could be nicknamed Old Man Winter? Not anymore. I try to surround myself with happy, positive people.
- Now that the holidays have passed, is there anything good about the winter that remains? I do enjoy a cup of hot chocolate from time to time in the winter. And despite the burden of driving in snow, I really like the look of snow. But other than that... no humidity?
