This week's Friday Five:
- Do you really make wishes when you blow out the candles on your cake? Totally. It's one of those habits from childhood that I can't break.
- Have any of the wishes ever come true, if yes? I think most of them have come true. I've always been a realistic wisher. It just takes time (e.g. years) for them to happen.
- How do you feel about birthdays (e.g. love the attention, just another day, don't want anyone to know my real age, etc.)? I like celebrating my birthday with the people I love and the people who love me. I don't love public attention brought to it (e.g. people singing to you in restaurants), but I like just enough attention that it's not just another day (e.g. friends gathering together specifically for my birthday).
- Tell us a favorite gift you've received, or something you'd really like for your next birthday. My birthday's in three days, but I've already received what I want, which is a position at MAC Cosmetics. I find that with birthday gifts, good memories, rather than physical gifts, are what matter. And I've always had good memories attached to each birthday.
- What flavour cake? When I was a kid, I was all about ice cream cake. I prefer cupcakes, just because you're not stuck to one flavour. But I do thoroughly enjoy red velvet cupcakes. Although, I think I prefer pie to cake these days. Yes, birthday pie!
