Today, MAC will launch their major Spring colour collection called Flamingo Park, inspired by "a picnic... a park... a girl of whimsy with a sweet tooth... unexpected guests... a curious flamingo! That's spring, it's an adventure. A little sugar goes a long way... a merry pink flock joins her feathered friend... the whole park goes to the birds... Plunge into the punch pleasures of pink in a freshly made batch of scrumptious colours that let you have your cake, and wear it, too." There is a total of 36 products, of which 18 are new and limited edition, five are re-promotes, and 13 are permanent. Flamingo Park will see the launch of one new and limited edition Eyeshadow x 9 Palette. Each palette is housed in a regular black clear-lidded compact, contains a total of 7.2 grams of product, and retails for $48.

Flamingo Park is by far the most colourful Eyeshadow x 9 Palette that MAC has come out with, and it is a totally fun and refreshing change from all the neutral palettes we've been seeing everywhere. I found the palette to be great in texture and pigmentation across the board; all the shades felt soft, went on smoothly, blended out easily, and applied with full colour pay-off. I like that there's a great mixture of finishes from mattes to shimmers, and colours from light pastels to saturated brights (and even a couple of neutrals) to make it easier to mix and match shades. It works great on its own for more colourful eye looks and in tandem with neutral palettes to add just a pop of colour. This is definitely a really great palette to get if you're looking to get into some brighter shades but don't want to invest in full-size pans of colour or full-size palettes.
