MAC Flamingo Park: Lipstick in Long Legged & Fabulous, The Fashion Flock, Flocking Fabulous, Nice to Meet You, Silly, Be Silly, and Have Your Cake

Yesterday, MAC launched their major Spring colour collection called Flamingo Park, inspired by "a picnic... a park... a girl of whimsy with a sweet tooth... unexpected guests... a curious flamingo! That's spring, it's an adventure. A little sugar goes a long way... a merry pink flock joins her feathered friend... the whole park goes to the birds... Plunge into the punch pleasures of pink in a freshly made batch of scrumptious colours that let you have your cake, and wear it, too." There is a total of 36 products, of which 18 are new and limited edition, five are re-promotes, and 13 are permanent. Flamingo Park sees the launch of nine lipsticks, of which six are new and limited edition, one is a re-promote, and two are permanent (which will not be reviewed here). Each lipstick is housed in a regular black tube, contains a total of 3 grams of product, and retails for $20. Each lipstick here is redeemable as a free product when you bring back six containers for the Back to MAC recycling program.

Long Legged & Fabulous is a light-medium cool strawberry milk pink in a Cremesheen finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. It has a soft, creamy texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has medium-high pigmentation and semi-opaque colour pay-off. It is lighter and brighter than Creme Cup, warmer and more muted than Saint Germain, and brighter than Dreaminess Mineralize Rich Lipstick.

The Fashion Flock is a medium brightened warm flamingo pink in a Matte finish. This is a new and limited edition shade, and is online-exclusive. It has a soft, creamy texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It is lighter and more pink than Tropic Tonic, darker and more coral than Please Me, and darker and more pink than Sushi Kiss.

Flocking Fabulous is a medium brightened guava coral in a Cremesheen finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. It has a soft, creamy texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has medium-high pigmentation and semi-opaque colour pay-off. It is more pink and less shimmery than Pretty Boy, more pink than Crosswires, more muted and more pink than Lady at Play Mineralize Rich Lipstick.

Nice to Meet You is a medium muted cool watermelon red in a Cremesheen finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. It has a soft, creamy texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It is more pink than Sweet Sakura, cooler than On Hold, and brighter and more opaque than Hot Tahiti.

Silly is a medium vibrant cool-toned bubblegum pink in a Matte finish. This is a re-promoted shade from 2013's Fashion Sets collection, and is limited edition. It has a soft and creamy texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It is lighter and more muted than Candy Yum-Yum, brighter than Pink Nouveau, and darker and brighter than Divine Choice Mineralize Rich Lipstick.

Be Silly is a medium-dark brightened cool fuchsia-magenta pink in a Matte finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. It has a soft, creamy texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It is less purple than Flat Out Fabulous, more matte than Girl About Town, and darker and more muted than Personal Statement Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour.

Have Your Cake is a medium-dark brightened cool magenta-purple in a Matte finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. It has a soft, creamy texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It is more pink than Heroine, smoother and more purple than Flat Out Fabulous, and more purple than Tailored to Tease Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour.

It's time to get out of dark, vampy winter mode and into brightness and colour! This collection is not for people who favour the whole '90s brown lip resurgence. This is for people who are ready for fun brights, and who love their pinks and corals. There is not a single dud here; all the shades are formulated in either Matte or Cremesheen finishes (no dreaded Lustres here!), and they are all smooth, creamy, and give off rich, saturated colour. I also found that all the shades here are non-drying and non-bleeding. Now, that having been said, there are quite a lot of dupes of these within MAC's permanent range, so I would check your stash to see if you have similar shades already. Otherwise, all of these would make really fun additions to any lipstick collection for Spring!
