Last month, Dior re-launched their entire Addict lipstick line that now includes a whopping 56 shades. The shades range from semi-sheer to semi-opaque with a high-shine finish, and its ultra-hydrating formula is meant to keep lips soft and smooth while looking full and plump. Like Chanel's Rouge Coco Shines, the Dior Addicts feel like lip balm. They go on smooth and make lips feel super-soft. I would say, however, that the Dior Addicts do offer more colour than the Rouge Coco Shines. I found that because of this, they lasted longer on the lip and looked more like a stain the day wore on. They don't last as long as some more opaque or long-wear lipsticks out there, though; I would say maybe three to four hours. They feel very comfortable on the lips, though, and are not drying at all. This lipstick formula would appeal to the same audience as the Rouge Coco Shines. Each tube contains approximately 3.4 grams of product, and retails for $31 a pop.
353 Blush and 864 Couture
Like the Rouge Coco Shines, I found that these were featherlight and super-smooth, almost like a second skin on the lips, and very comfortable to wear while giving a nice shine. I do find that they offer some more hydration than the Rouge Coco Shines, however, and lips definitely feel more moisturized. Overall, a great lipstick formula and definitely worth checking out, 'cause with 56 shades, there's at least one (or eight) for everyone.
Ooh, those look really rich and creamy -- and pretty.
ReplyDeleteLOL sounds like I'm describing a dessert. :)
Haha, well, it's kind of like a dessert in the sense that it's an indulgence...? ;) It's one of my new favourite lipstick formulas, though. And the packaging is so, so pretty, it makes me want to take out a tube and re-apply just so I can see it. :) I'm definitely going to pick up a few more shades... 'cause I don't have enough lipstick...
