Greetings from NYC! To start off our trip, a delectably delicious Italian dinner with the fam at La Pecora Bianca:
Crispy calamari with cherry pepper aioli and pomodoro sauce
Meatballs with pomodoro sauce and parmesan
Mushroom pizza with fontina, garlic, and shallots
Garganelli with roasted wild mushrooms, arugula, pesto, garlic, and pecorino, topped with fresh burrata
Got all the essentials: Pizza, pasta, calamari, and meatballs. Fresh pasta and burrata made in-house (and you can add burrata on top of any of their pastas, which I highly recommend), the most tender calamari I've ever had in my life, and melt-in-your-mouth meatballs with freshly baked bread to sop up all that tasty pomodoro sauce. Let's just say it was a very, very good start to this year's NYC adventure.
