It's been a while since I had truly excellent sushi, but then I went for dinner with my mom at Hana Don:

They're relatively pricey compared to other sushi restaurants, and it's somewhat luxe for a casual weeknight dinner (about $55 per person after tax and tip), but the food was excellent and they have a pretty incredible variety of donburi and sushi options. Somewhat strange that I hadn't tried this place before since I've literally passed by it dozens of times, but better late than never. To think I was just gonna get a bowl of pho tonight...
