This week's Friday Five:
- When did you last eat or drink something purchased from a truck or other wheeled vehicle? I genuinely can't remember. Food truck culture is not a huge thing here, especially outside of downtown core.
- When did you last purchase something previously owned? Also can't remember. Anything I have that is previously owned was given to me. (And completely brand new when I got it.)
- When did a purchase most recently exceed your expectations? These silicone cooking utensils. I bought them to replace my older wooden and plastic cooking utensils because I wanted ones that were heat-resistant, non-stick, and most importantly, dishwasher-safe. These ones fit the bill and come in a cute mint green colour.
- When did you last overpay for something because you needed it right away? A carton of half-and-half at Shoppers Drug Mart last night. I was desperate and it was after 10:00PM so all my nearest supermarkets were closed. I'd been drinking black coffee for the last 3 days and had had enough. The 1L carton was $6.49. It's normally $3.49 at my supermarket. ($2.99 if it's on sale.)
- Among recent purchases, what was the best bargain? Bought Charlie Puth and Jungkook's "Left and Right" on iTunes. $1.29 is a steal for a song.
