It has been nearly two years since I've had a bowl of real (non-instant) ramen, so when Ying suggested going to Sansotei for dinner, I immediately agreed. It was closed for over a year since the pandemic started and I actually thought they had shut down for good, which would've been a real travesty because Sansotei makes some of my favourite ramen in the city. Luckily, we confirmed that they are, indeed, open for business again. We split an order of gyoza and each got a bowl of their classic tonkotsu ramen, and let me tell you, after eating instant tonkotsu ramen for the last few months, the real shit was just that much more satisfying.
