Sibling bonding time with my brother! And nothing says family bonding like a sushi lunch at Hibiki. (Well, I'm sure there are plenty of other things that say family bonding, but I just wanted an excuse to eat delicious sushi, so I stay winning.) We haven't had a meal together with just the two of us in nearly 20 years. Aside from confirming that Hibiki is still my favourite Japanese restaurant in Markham, this meal has also made me realize that — despite living in different countries for over 15 years and being complete opposites since I was born — my brother and I now have the exact same taste in food and the same style of ordering. Sibling bonding, indeed.
