Friday Five: Twelve months

This week's Friday Five:
  1. In what ways has pandemic life been positive for you? It allowed me to work from home, which has saved me a lot of time and money.

  2. Where (and how often) did you get your pandemic news this past year? Twitter (because I see the Toronto-based trending topics) and YouTube (where there's an entire section dedicated to COVID-19 news in Canada). There's updates everyday, but I pay attention to them maybe once every two weeks?

  3. Where did you find unexpected comfort in these crazy twelve months? The McDonald's drive-thru.

  4. What are some little things you miss most about what used to be normal life? Being able go out to eat at restaurants. Being able to leave my home without a mask. Being able to watch movies at a movie theatre. Going to BTS birthday events.

  5. What do you think life will be like twelve months from now? I do think the majority of the population will be vaccinated and we'll be able to revert back to the way things were. But maybe still with masks.

  1. Yep. My answer, when I write these, will be the McDonald's drive-through as well. Plus, for a copule of months, Pitch Perfect 2 and Pitch Perfect 3.

And the little thing I miss most is sitting in a tea cafe drinking boba and reading a book. Sigh.

Hang in there. At least your favorite musicians are still young. Mine are all old, so I've probably missed my chance to see them perform! :)

    1. Oh truuuue, I did get re-obsessed with Pitch Perfect for a couple months last year as well, LOL. I was listening to the soundtrack, too.

I also miss sitting in a boba cafe. Now all we can do is get boba to go and sit in the car. :(

LOL, fair enough... although at this rate, they'll be in the military by the time this pandemic settles down and then it'll be years before they'll be able to tour again as a septet. I'm still holding onto my concert tickets from last year's tour, but I really doubt it's gonna end up happening. :(

  2. I enjoyed revisiting this. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I'd forgotten about the McD's drive-though and how important it was to me. It definitely was like an oasis in the desert, a brightly lit escape and a dose of normalcy in a dark year.

    1. Thank you for revisiting! Indeed, the McD's drive-thru came through with saving my mental health. It was literally the only escape I had for a year.

But, hey, my prediction did come true! And we don't even have a mandatory mask mandate anymore! :)

    2. Thankfully not your BTS prediction in the comments, though. :) AND you're going to Vegas!
